200 year old English Cotswold?????

Description:

If your perfect dream home happens to be a 200 year old English Cotswold cottage, here’s a home I know you will want to visit, but with more than 3,000 SF of living space, this home is no small, cramped cottage your grandmother once live in.

The living space includes a large hearth room complete with hand hewn log beams on the cieling which are more than 200 years old, a formal living room, spacious dinning room, laundry room, kitchen, 2-1/2 baths, a large and spacious entry, a climate controlled storage room and an oversized garage. The Master bedroom, which is located on the first floor, is separated from the 2 opulent guest bedrooms located upstairs. The Master bathroom includes a radiant heated floor system, a large pedestal Champaign jetted tub and a walk-in shower located just off the private toilet room. One of the bedrooms upstairs has a separate room which can be used as a homework room, children’s playroom or that illusive man-cave dad has always dreamt of someday having all to himself.

Though the home has the look, feel and charm of a 200 year old cottage, don’t let this fool you, this home has one foot firmly planted in the future and is rated as a 5 star Plus – Energy Star qualified home and can boast of having the lowest utility costs of any house in the area.

The climate control system is a 2-speed 95%+ heater with an 18 SEER cooling plant and coupled to an ERV to eliminate any unwanted moisture and stale air inside the home.

The exterior is clad in stone and cementitious stucco to weather the extremes which come with living in SW Missouri. This is truly a home to be admired.

Unique 19th century Gambrel roof home

Description:

Truly a unique structure – Every bit 19th century, yet every bit 21st century too. The whole idea behind this home, and one which was constantly reaffirmed during the construction process was that it was supposedly built in the mid 1800s by a wealthy merchant who relocated from the east coast to southwest Missouri. He knew what he wanted and had the money to lavishly construct the home with his unique vision. In reality, the home was built with 13 inch thick ICF blocks (insulated concrete forms), contains more than 2.5 tons of steel reinforcement and has 6,500 psi concrete walls from the foundation to the roofline. With James Hardie products used on the exterior of the home, even the lap siding on this unique “One of-a-kind” home is concrete and will last for maintenance free decades.

This home is quiet, solid, safe and will very likely still be standing when all surrounding homes are nothing but a distant memory.

Countertop in the kitchen are made from locally mined and polished limestone pieces while the work surface of the island boast a 2-½ inch thick piece marble. Wow!!!!, talk about a dream work surface to roll out dough or make candy on.

The home is a 4 bedroom home (1 down and 3 up) has a large family gathering room off the kitchen, a large formal dining room complete with a butler’s staging area, a library or office off the entry, a children’s study area with desks, large outdoors entertaining areas, half with screened window openings, double screen doors and a large stone fireplace with a freestanding gas stove which looks like a coal burner while it operates, and the other half on an elevated stained stamped concrete floating porch, plus a large bonus room over the garage.

I could go on and on about this home as it contains too numerous of items to describe in words.
